Hakone Shrine (箱根神社, Hakone Jinja) stands at the foot of Mount Hakone along the shores of Lake Ashinoko. The shrine buildings are hidden in the dense forest but are well advertised by their massive torii gates, one standing prominently in the lake and two others over the main street of Moto-Hakone.
This is the only Chinese traditional park in all of South – East Asia. And it is modeled on the Beijing Summer Palace. As well as on the scenic garden area of the Song Dynasty and Suzhou Gardens.
Inspired By Ancient Song Dynasty Architecture Designed by Taiwanese architect Prof. Yuen-chen Yu and built in 1975. The space is modelled after the northern Chinese imperial style. Of architecture and landscaping, particularly during the Sung dynasty period.
