9 Day of December – #baking

Christmas cookies

Let’s agree that most of us remember holidays because of the tasty foods. Kids – cakes and cookies, grownups – alcohol and savory dishes. But although officially I am a grownup, I still love sweets, and here is my all-time top five that I like to bake for the holiday season.

1-Double chocolate mousse cake

Take this double-layer cake to the third level of indulgence by serving with a dollop of double cream.

2-Gingerbread house

Nothing quite matches the childhood joy of baking, building – and devouring – a deliciously fragrant gingerbread house during the festive season.

3-Traditional Christmas pudding

Finish off your festive feast with this traditional favorite – a moist steamed Christmas pudding filled with sweet fruit flavors and a hint of brandy.

4-Christmas bombe Alaska

Slice into the meringue in this baked bombe Alaska to reveal layers of spicy gingerbread and rich ice cream.

5-Frozen fairy floss cheesecake loaf

With a Tim Tam base and a fairy floss topping, this cheesecake will delight young and old alike.
